the official invitation to apply (ita) arrived today in a thick package from london. it came registered so i had to go to the post office to sign for it. i’ll admit it was very exciting.
i was dreading filling out the full application, but nzis has made it much easier by including an application pre filled in with all of our eoi responses. so the general theme of the application is to document (prove) everything that we said in our eoi.
the highlights:
- full medicals including chest xrays and blood tests for everything scary
- original birth certificates, marriage certificates, college transcripts & diplomas
- proof of employment history (this should be a treat getting companies that i worked for more than 10 years ago to document my work history including job titles)
- fbi criminal records
- evidence of relationship to prove that jackie is not a mail order bride (photos of the jboss and me smiling with relatives – guess i’ll have to photoshop that…)
we’ve already started on most of this so the hope is to get the application in by mid december.
